Phil Brown (aka Uncle Owen) R.I.P.

The actor Phil Brown, who played Luke's uncle in the original Star Wars, died this week at the age of 89.

Uncle Owen himself died a long, long time ago, after Imperial Storm-troopers killed him and Aunt Beru (played by the late Shelagh Frazer) as they searched for the missing droid R2-D2 containing the stolen data files placed in him by Luke's sister, Princess Leia Organa, describing the Death Star's potential weaknesses.
