Edward Gorey's THE DOUBTFUL GUEST to be made into a Jim Henson Company Film
From AWN.com:
Debuting in 1957, THE DOUBTFUL GUEST is the story of an inexplicable creature that shows up unannounced and unwelcome at a family-owned bed & breakfast. Brad Peyton (EVELYN: THE CUTEST EVIL DEAD GIRL) is attached to direct and Matthew Huffman will write the screenplay. This could be cool, but once again, adapting a teeny tiny children's book into a full-length motion picture is frought with peril.
Anyone heard of this director or writer?

Yes, Brad is a director from Toronto and an alumni of the Canadian Film Centre (Canada's premier training facility for filmmakers). He's a very good director and a nice guy too, I met him briefly at a film festival in Toronto where Evelyn was screening and used to see him around the city when I lived there.
Evelyn is a very low-budget, but very clever little Tim Burton-esque film. It got a lot of buzz on the film festival circuit a couple years ago. Assuming Brad gets to make this with minimal interference I imagine it will turn out really well.
Oh very cool. It's great to see a good up-and-coming director get a chance at something like this.
