Memes from the Israel Film Festival

If one were to deduce life in Israel from the two films* I watched in the Israel Film Festival this weekend, one might conclude the following:

• Dysfunctional families abound.
• Young adults have no ambition and live with their parents.
• Fathers feel impotent, both emotionally and physically.
• Women are able to use artistic expression as salvation / escape.

Doesn't seem all that different from independent movies here, really.
