Sesame Street Clips Online!
Whohoo! Finally! Sesame Workshop (formerly known as Children's Television Workshop) has begun offering classic and newer Sesame Street clips online after seeing so many of them posted by fans on YouTube. It's in Beta and lacks the ability to link to favorites right now, but here are some keywords to type in for my favorite clips so far:
- "painter"
- "monsterpiece theatre" ("upstairs downstairs")
- "news: angry reporter"
- "can remember"
- "kermit calls a plumber"
- "song: subway train"
- "news mother hubbard"
- "question song"
- "disco"
- "daddy dear"
- "lonely n song"
There are some untagged clips in there, some really rare ones, and all in pristine quality. Enjoy! Let me know if you discover any great ones.
Labels: animation, creativity, digital video, muppet, sesame street

things got really funny when he says "oh boy... i think i should go UPstairs" LOL! exciting and dramatic :D
my favorite so far!
i watched the 'i can remember cartoon' and had an epiphany: i realized i still have the phrase "a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter" running over and over in the back of my mind, incessantly... ever since i first viewed th short as a child.
Yeah! I found another one yesterday. Type in "clam" and you'll get one about a fisherman who pulls out all the plants and stops catching fish. Then a talking clam (with teeth, even) informs him that "everybody knows" little fish eat plants. The fisherman says "That means, if I put back the plants, the fish will come back!" "Riiight," says the clam.
This is obviously still topical today. We just have to put back the plants to solve our worldwide overfishing problem. ;)
